I'm sure Nixon wouldn't mind the poor stealing..uh.....expropriating  things from her property. Maybe she could have some of them live in her dwellings with her the better for her to commune with the downtrodden. And if they rob her (or unfortunately cause her physical harm), well...they're poor and oppressed, so who can blame them?

Well not just stealing from her but all her wealthy liberal actor friends too. Not surprising that that this wealthy socialist can't comprehend that all the rest of us pay for what those she calls the poor(insulting all the good hardworking poor) steal or that that where this has happened in liberal enclaves corporations and and small businesses have pulled out because they can't handle the losses leaving the honest poor nowhere to shop.

Was she reacting to the closings of nearly 20 Walgreens stores in SF? DA Boudin is already "allowing" shoplifting by refusing to prosecute the shoplifters. Predictably, shoplifting has proliferated in SF. Walgreens' closings are another predictable consequence of Boudin's refusal to enforce the law, and I doubt they are the last such business closings.

Between not prosecuting shoplifters and not prosecuting smash-and-grab thefts from cars, the effects on tourism in SF should be interesting as CA opens back up.

No, Proposition 147 changed the definition of felony theft, moving the value threshold to $950. If I walk into Walgreens or Target and steal something worth $30 it's still misdemeanor theft, from which I could get a criminal record, etc..
