Harris Aides 'Panicked' When Biden Assigned Her Immigration Task in March

When President Joe Biden announced back in March that he was assigning Vice President Kamala Harris with the task of taking charge of immigration from Central America, her aides appeared to "panic," according to a White House official, CNN reported on Tuesday.

The panic was caused by concern that her assignment, which was to focus on conditions in Central America that push migrants to the US southern border and diplomatic efforts to mitigate those, was being intentionally misconstrued, according to the official.

This would increase the possibility that it could be politically damaging to Harris if she was connected to any failure at the southern border, where there has been a surge of illegal immigrants arriving, including a record number of unaccompanied children crossing into the U.S.

The official said the concern and dismay of the vice president’s aides increased when Republican critics and the media portrayed her new role as a border assignment and immigration czar, opening her up to criticism for the handling of the problem.

However, another White House official said the vice president's team wasn't panicked and that Harris has been focused on the assignment. The official also denied that her team was concerned about how her role was being perceived.

She's focused on doing nothing, because she knows full well Biden's already forgotten it and the actual powers-behind-the-throne couldn't care less about the crisis at the border - except to make it worse.

By any standard you wish to apply, a humanitarian crisis is underway on the US border with Mexico. People are dying. Detainees are being held in horrendous conditions. The unwillingness of the Biden bunch to even pretend to care about the crisis, the deaths of illegals, or the economic and social harm being done by the tsunami of migrants overwhelming the nation’s ability to control its own borders is having the effect of attracting still more people into trying to cross the border illegally. The latest big-brain idea, paying Central Americans to stay in their home countries, will have the utterly predictable effect of providing still more would-be illegals with the financial resources to hire a coyote [the human trafficker, not the canine] to shepherd them to the US border.

Back in March, Biden assigned Kamala Harris to lead the efforts of federal agencies to manage or at least reduce the mismanagement of the border crisis.

What's going to be interesting is that now that the Rodents have perfected their most massive vote fraud operation in history how badly she's going to be demolished in the 2024 Rodent primaries.   They only put her on this Stolen Ticket to convince stupid women and stupid (b)lacks that the Rodents care, as usual.   The people seeking real leadership in the  Rodent party aren't going to tolerate the presence of that slutty hen at the top.   

I mean, if the Rodents can steal an election and put in Senile Joe as this terms usurper, you know Governor Nuisance wants his turn and so would Andy Grope the Young, Kill the Old Cuomo.

There's no evidence they ever gave a thought to what "comes after."  Of course they have no idea, it's not the point.  The Lefties think they have what they want.

You want massive numbers of foreign aliens overwhelming the Country, but don't want the political heat for it, and Biden surely doesn't.  Put an incompetent in charge, you can then ignore how bad the situation is by pointing out you put someone in charge for it, deal with them, not me.  Either Biden is thinking, or some one for him.  Slick blame shifting, relatively standard procedure for democrats. Isn't how they do things even being noticed ?  They operate VERY repetitively.  As long as fools will let them get away with stuff, they change little.
