Meet The Astronauts Who Will Launch Aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Next Month

SpaceX will launch its third crewed launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on April 22nd. It will be the second operational mission under NASA's Commercial Crew Program, Crew-2. A Falcon 9 rocket will liftoff from NASA’s Launch Complex-39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying an international crew of four astronauts aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The astronauts represent three agencies, NASA, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and the European Space Agency (ESA). The astronauts who will launch aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon next month are NASA astronauts – Shane Kimbrough and  Megan McArthur, along with JAXA astronaut Akihiko Hoshide, and ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet. “It’s been the first time ... in over 20 years that a crew from NASA, ESA and JAXA have flown together,” said NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough, SpaceX Crew-2 mission commander.
