Ron Johnson attacked for saying he’d be more ‘threatened’ by BLM, Antifa than Jan. 6 protesters who ‘love this country’
March 14, 2021 | Vivek Saxena Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson is facing attacks and smears from the left for admitting that he’d initially felt no fear on Jan. 6th because of there being no history whatsoever of Trump supporters erupting into violence and rioting.
While speaking Thursday on conservative radio talk show host Joe Pags’ syndicated program, a discussion ensued concerning the startling contrasts between Antifa/Black Lives Matter “protesters†and average Trump supporters.
“Black Lives Matter, Antifa are always taking over cities and burning things down and starting trouble, and we’re told ‘don’t worry about it, 94 percent of the time they’re perfectly fine, and it’s all peaceful,'†Pags said.
“Only†six percent of all Antifa/BLM “protesters†behaved violently, Democrats and their media allies keep claiming. Yet that’s a remarkable number, Pags continued, because far fewer than six percent of Trump supporters who showed up for the “Stop the Steal†rally on the 6th wound up rioting.
“I think it was probably less than one percent that actually ended up being violent. Why is it now we can paint all conservatives with a broad brush — everybody’s violent — and you can’t say anything about liberals, but Antifa and Black Lives Matter clearly are violent when they show up somewhere?†he said.
He was correct. As of mid-March, only roughly 300 Trump supporters out of 200,000 (or .01 percent) had been arrested for the Jan. 6th riot, according to CBS News.
