Army's revised grooming standards loosen up hairstyle regulations, allow for earrings
The new regulations "support diversity, equity and inclusion"
By Paul Best | Fox News

Fox News takes a closer look at the military career of Nick Irving, who at age 23 was the first African American Special Ops sniper in the 3rd Ranger Battalion.

Revisions to the U.S. Army's grooming and appearance standards went into effect Wednesday that will loosen up hairstyle regulations and allow for earrings to be worn.

The new rules are proof "that the force is evolving and making a concerted effort to make everyone feel included," Master Sgt. Quintana Mitchell, the uniform policy NCO for G-1, said in unveiling the changes last month.

Soldiers will now be allowed to have highlights in their hair as long as it appears natural.

A nice post through the nose would be a nice touch.  And a dapper hat cocked to one side would be cool.  And wearing hoodies over their heads would make everyone feel so much  more at home.  Of course, the military will have to insure there is no "cultural appropriation" going on. :0012:
