Video/Pics: 100+ vehicle pileup on Texas interstate; 5 dead and more trapped

A deadly pileup of more than 100 vehicles left five people dead and several others trapped in their cars on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, Texas, Thursday morning.

After freezing rain and sleet made road conditions slippery and wet, the massive pileup led officials to close all lanes of the interstate starting from the 28th Street bridge near downtown.

According to CBS 11 News, emergency responders are referring to the crash as a “mass casualty incident.”

Dallas-Fort Worth CBS reporter Madison Sawyer tweeted images of the scene, showing dozens of vehicles smashed, flipped over and stacked on top of each other.
