Because he sees Trump as a threat to the sweetheart deals he cuts with the Dims to enrich him and his family,and because he is a serious threat to McConnell's death grip on power.

Trump represents a threat to him as much as Trump is a threat to the Dims. Don't forget,he and the other RINO's have a profit-sharing agreement with the powers that be in the DNC,and any threat to the Dims corruption is also a threat to HIS corruption.

Because the turtle is afraid of Mr. Trump.
The truth is... they're ALL afraid of Mr. Trump (regardless of what party to which they belong).

They know that Mr. Trump remains the most powerful voice in America speaking for traditional-minded Americans and their goals and desires in life.

And they suspect "he'll be back" in 2024... regardless of any b.s. resolutions they may pass from now on.

Which,in itself,represents yet another MASSIVE victory for Trump,and he didn't even have to do anything himself because they did it all for him.

I think most of Congress is so messed up that they don't know which end is up.  They are so untrustworthy that they don't trust each other and are paranoid of outside entities like Soros, BLM and Antifa who control them. 

Their fear of Trump is because he was uncontrollable while in office and that fear has carried over as they now fully realize how critical it was to destroy the integrity of the ballot box; otherwise they would have lost.  Frankly I think it's ridiculous to have such fear of a man who will be 78 years old next election.  Trump is full of energy right now, but he's not going to keep up this pace forever.  Everyone eventually reaches their limitations.  They will work on destroying his family's wealth next -- everyone but Jared, who I still think is a DEM player.  You watch and see ... Ivanka will run for Senator in '22 and she and Jared will run in 2024.

???  So @Victoria33 it makes absolutely no difference to you that what is going on now is unconstitutional??  That Roberts declined tor reside?  Trump has left office.  Trump did NOT call for rioting, and he did NOT call for an assault against Pence. 

Again, this is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.  The Chief Justice is NOT presiding.  Trump is NOT in office.  So voting to remove a man who is no longer in office is absolutely absurd.

I'm sure Karen, Mike and family will be just fine.

Also, most importantly, realize that the rioters consisted of BLM/Antifa and this attack was planned in advance by the DEMS and members of the GOPe -- including Pence.  He was never in any danger.

And let's not forget the most important fact of all.  There has not been a single shred of evidence introduced that indicates that Trump incited violent sedition.  Not a single shred.  Even the Dems tacitly concede this as they try to replace the impeachable offense at the last minute.
