Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert just won a battle that no one believed she could. The freshman representative and gun rights activist has been granted a concealed carry permit in Washington, D.C.

The news was revealed during a press conference from Police Chief Robert Contee on Thursday, February 5. “A concealed carry permit was issued in that case,” Contee stated.

“As we do with all our permits, if citizens are allowed to carry, then we grant them a permit. In this case, she was allowed to carry and she was granted a permit. And yes, we did reach out to the office,” he added.
