While trees and other plants can remove some carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, most climate change experts agree we can’t plant enough, fast enough, to do the job alone.

Carbon capture technology has been around for decades, and is used to strip carbon out of factory emissions as well as remove carbon that’s already in the air.

But it’s expensive, and until the cost of releasing carbon into the air rises, there’s little economic incentive to use it.

Elon Musk is going to pay $100 million towards a prize to come up with the best carbon capture technology. (Or so he tweets. Details are scarce so far.)

7.5.1. Great Plains Synfuels Plant

Quote
In addition to the production of SNG, the plant also produces high purity carbon dioxide (CO2), which is distributed through a pipeline to end users in Canada for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Most, almost all, climate change "experts" think human activity is driving "climate change".

So their opinion isn't worth very much.

I'm going to say that if planting more trees isn't the solution, plant more climate change experts.

These people are driven by profits from the scam.  No profits to be made if people just started planting trees, hey?  So we need special machines, very expensive special machines to sequester carbon....as opposed to sinking more derelict ships, old buses, etc, to encourage coral reef growth and plant trees in regions where trees like to grow.

...not that we really need anything...we don't control the sun and we don't control the quantity of H20 in the atmosphere.
