WITCH HUNT: Democrats Move The Goal Posts After Impeachment Loses Steam Among Republicans

about 22 hours agoNow that the unprecedented second sham impeachment of former President Donald J. Trump is doomed to failure, Democrats are scrambling to find a plan B that will allow them to save face.
The crushing blow to the Dems’ dreams came on Tuesday when Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky’s brilliant maneuver to force a vote on the constitutionality of impeaching a man who is no longer in office succeeded in showing how little bipartisan support for a conviction has.
Paul’s motion went down to defeat by a score of 55-45 in the Democrat-controlled Senate but he successfully flushed out the treacherous five Republicans led by Mitt Romney who would join Dems to convict Trump.
Now Democrats and their Never Trump GOP collaborators are moving the goalposts by pushing for a censure instead of a Senate conviction that would have preempted a 2024 run by the iconoclastic billionaire businessman.
The shift to censure is being spearheaded by the treacherous Susan Collins along with Democrat Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, whose main claim to fame was being Hillary Clinton’s 2016 running mate during her ill-fated presidential bid.
