'I'm in': Sarah Sanders announces bid for Arkansas governor
by Tyler Van Dyke, Breaking News Reporter |
 | January 25, 2021 08:29 AM

Sarah Sanders kicked off her campaign for the governor of Arkansas on Monday with a nearly eight-minute video message posted on Twitter, playing on her past experience as former President Donald Trump's press secretary.

"I'm in," Sanders tweeted with the video.

Establishing herself as another "law and order" candidate, Sanders issued a salvo of criticisms against the Democratic Party, which now controls the White House and both chambers of Congress.

"Today, our freedom and the rule of law are under attack," Sanders said in the video. "The radical Left's solution is to impost government control and censorship. But their socialism and cancel culture will not heal America. ... Everything we love about America is at stake."

Sole experience is being a press secretary?  I like the lady, but think she is underqualified to be governor.  Even with her father's experience in the that job.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Glad to see this!  I've always liked her and felt she did an excellent job under President Trump.

Sarah Sanders to run for governor of Arkansas

Former White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders is running for Arkansas governor, a source told The Associated Press on Sunday night.

Sanders, who left the White House in 2019 to return to her home state, planned to announce her bid on Monday, a senior campaign official told the AP on condition of anonymity. The campaign official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. A formal announcement is expected Monday............

...........Sanders joins an expensive Republican primary that already includes two statewide elected leaders, Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin and Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. The three are running to succeed current Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican who is unable to run next year due to term limits. No Democrats have announced a bid to run for the seat.

The lesson we learned from Trump is, you're nothing unless you have a good team that is loyal to you.

B.A. Political Science, in addition to her time in the Trump White House, has worked as field coordinator for her father's 2002 reelection campaign for governor of Arkansas, regional liaison for congressional affairs at the U.S. Department of Education under President George W. Bush, field coordinator for President Bush's re-election campaign in Ohio in 2004, founding partner of Second Street Strategies in Little Rock, Arkansas, a general consulting services provider, worked on national political campaigns and on campaigns for federal office in Arkansas, national political director for her father's 2008 presidential campaign and worked on several other candidates' campaigns, FOX News contributor. (I got all that from Wikipedia).

It would appear all her work experience is in politics and campaign strategy, not the "real world" type stuff we might prefer of a candidate.

Her Dad sold his compound just down the road from me and moved back to Arkansas.  He must be trying to stay close to the next Gov and help her out.

I loved the way she dealt with the news media morons. The legislature and bureaucracy should be a piece of cake.

@mountaineer

I agree. She is both forceful and direct, and they don't scare her even the tiniest bit. She has been exposed to bureaucrats her entire life,so she knows how to handle them.

It's "amazing" what one can learn, even from partisan W'pedia or from one's search engine of choice. :sarc: WashPost or WashEx, "news" media people cannot be trusted not to lie, omit important info, or simply blather from ignorance.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

How much elected, "executive experience" did Ron Reagan have when he first ran for governor of California...?

He was President of the Screen Actors Guild during the time frame when actors contracts were transitioning under Guild pressure from studios almost owning actors' careers to much greater freedom (for the actors). Reagan being Reagan, modern SAG hates him.

So, yeah, Reagan's executive experience in 1966 was very slim.
