President Donald Trump has planed a final visit to Texas in an attempt to draw attention to the issue that defined his campaign for the White House: Border security.
As Congress contemplates a second impeachment vote, Trump is scheduled to travel to Hidalgo County in South Texas on Tuesday to tout his administration’s work strengthening border security. He’ll be visiting a small town near one of the bridges that connects Texas with Mexico with just over a week left in his troubled presidency.
“President Trump is expected to travel to Alamo, Texas, on Tuesday to mark the completion of more than 400 miles of border wall — a promise made, promise kept — and his Administration’s efforts to reform our broken immigration system,†White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said.
