Have you been paying attention as to what constitutes excessive force over the past several years? What was special about this case that required deadly force? There were police all over the place.

I would wager the officer who fired the shot isn't as certain right now he/she did the right thing as you are.

the capital was taken over, bombs have been found, hundreds of people (some armed) are in and around the building. The police officers are obviously going to be on edge. It was his duty to protect the building and the people in it. How did he know if she wasn’t armed? They where breaking down the door and the person in question was slipped through.

If an angry crowd was busting through your door would you just step aside and let them in not knowing what their intentions are? He was responsible for the safety of many that could be in danger.

Yep I think a lot of powder and ball got rammed down barrels today, and hammers cocked.  I hate to see rioting but sooner or later the people *will* teach the lesson that the consent of the governed will not be taken for granted.

They could've walked up and slapped the cuffs on her. There were almost as many police as protesters. Imagine yourself with an M4 drawing a bead on a 16 year old girl climbing by herself through a window.

I can't wait to see this new law enforcement standard trotted out at the next BLM riot.

Supporters of President Trump vandalized Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office Wednesday after storming the Capitol in protest of the certification of the Electoral College results.

A member of the mob was photographed sitting at a desk in Pelosi's suite of offices, an American flag draped on a desk behind him.

Rioters flipped over tables and tore down photographs from the walls, according to The New York Times.


The scene came amid unprecedented chaos on Capitol Hill as supporters of the outgoing president forced their way into the building, disrupting the debates over the certification of Joe Biden's Electoral College victory and forcing lawmakers and Vice President Pence to be evacuated to safety.

Multiple outlets reported at least one person had been shot amid the ongoing violence.

KUSI News has spoken with her husband.

The woman is Ashli Babbit, a 14-year veteran, who served four tours with the US Air Force, and was a high level security official throughout her time in service.

Her husband says she was a strong supporter of President Trump, and was a great patriot to all who knew her....
