I like the crumbly cigarettes because they tasted like a crumbly wintergreen lifesaver. Plus it was a lot of candy... 12 or so cigarettes in a real looking pack. Here is another one from that era of the early '60's. Anyone else remember these at Halloween?
Yes, I pretended that the candy cigarettes were real. If I recall they had a red circle on the end -- they were pre-lit! I started smoking when I was 13 and stopped when I was 26. Years add up. By that time I had already smoked for 13 years. Was it worth quitting? Sure, obviously quit when you're pregnant, but I'm not so sure that not smoking afterwards has done me a darn bit of good. I have numerous health issues and most related to stress ... cigarettes were always a stress reducer for me.
