My point had a kind of factitous  angle to it.  As has been said so often already, nobody was privy to discussions between Roberts and the new justices as far as allowing precedence of this type and nature , and what the implications may have been.

Bottom line the swamp dictated the result.

Back to my basic motive. I didn't vote for Trump. I voted for a President. He has done a good enough job, in that respect, to get my vote. Still.

If indeed they take the Georgia Senators, history will NOT be kind toward the 'Radical Conservative extremist/racist Trump Supporter'.

I believe THAT is the reason so many Senate Republicans and Reps are reluctant to become "Spartacus!"

They're betting that 'Trumpism' was just an earthquake whose dust has settled.

The irony here is this would be more true if the state and federal level Republicans back on Nov 4th had united and fought tooth and nail for the President against the steal.  Even if they were unsuccessful they could have keep millions in the GOP fold. But by sitting on their hands for a month and throwing the baby out with the bathwater now the GOP will lose tens and tens of millions ---- and guess whose open arms they're going to jump into.   The GOP's wishful thinking will end up making he who they will not name again even stronger a political player than he is now. 888blackhat

You are damn right.

Anyone who thinks the Trump phenomena is going to fade simply doesn't understand the connection between Trump and his voters. We...and by "we" I mean the 80+ million who voted for the President...don't want milquetoast elites, compassionate conservatives nor purist intellectuals....we want someone who can put his knuckles up and punch the F out of these bastards who are trying to steal the country by stealing votes.

So folks who think anyone other than Donald Trump is going to be THE Conservative running for President in 2024...assuming the steal can't be stopped in 2020...are dreaming. Donald Trump IS the conservative candidate for the 2024 election, be that in the GOP or as part of a new party he leads.

The time for internal squabbles, political pacifism, intellectual pontificating and "taking my ball and going home" is long past...Donald Trump will never stop fighting for conservatism and WE will never stop having his back in that fight. Sure...the NT's will continue striving to Quisling their way to defeat....undercutting us as we fight these BLM/Antifa/Progressive/Socialists....but we will continue fight them nonetheless and to fight for the 2024 conservative standard bearer.

I don't think the momentum of Keep America Great is going to fade, however reality needs to take a place here.

The election was stolen.  The Supreme Court failed to even hear the case. It doesn't matter the reason, they failed to do their job without bias, and they stomped on the Constitution. Therefore, the electoral process has loss all integrity and there is absolutely no logic in thinking that we're going to see another fair election.  The DEMS will have the majority; they will stack the courts, do away with the electoral college and grant asylum along with voting rights to illegals.  ALL of these things equate to no Republican being seated, not at the federal level and doubtful also at the state level.

Even IF Trump were to run in 2024 it will be mathematically impossible for him to win AND they stole the election now, there's no way in heck that they aren't going to continue to steal elections, rig the courts, voting machines, etc.  He will be 78 years old.  Who know what his health is going to be like and who knows if he's even going to want to run -- that's just pure wishful thinking.

I think that the GOP is going to dissolve completely due to them not winning seats.  The ONLY remedy is to overthrow the leftist/globalist regime. They are huge, have subversive groups on their side and have been organizing for the demise of this Republic for a very long time.

There is absolutely no argument in my mind that Trump was able to connect with his base in unprecedented numbers. While I fully agree with the emotion and sentiment of continuing the Trump phenomena; we also have to take a really good look at the situation that we are in.  We are NOT going to win at the ballot box. Thinking that we are going to have another election in 2024 is just not going to happen; not as we have known the electoral process in the past. That is done and over with and the SCOTUS will never rule in a Republican's favor as the courts will be stacked and overwhelmingly liberal.

We have to beat them at their game.We have to figure out how to do so and how to move forward.  I don't know if that is possible.

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

  • Dems-greatest existential threat to USA republic!
If the Dems win in Georgia and sweep the senate seats, the republic that we know is dead.  Not dying, DEAD!  There will be no coming back without a violent revolution that results in millions dead.

If the Republicans hold on to one of the two seats, the republic will be on life support.  I say that because the Dems had an amazing success and did it by cheating widely, and no one is standing up to them.  Each election cycle their process will become more refined, and eventually, there will be nothing one can do to defeat them from their chicanery, short of revolution.

And there will be no revolution without people starving to death.  Otherwise, they will not leave the comfort of their couches.

As of the most recent Trafalgar poll, the Dems are up with both senate seat races.  If America does not revolt with a French style uprising, then this nation becomes a one political party operation.  The Republicans will not matter for a pile of manure.  Not even Trump would revive the party.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

999wine   Happy New Year, @DCPatriot
Since the days of GHWB, the tone deafness of the GOP has stood out for me. When, during the oil bust of the mid 80s, I wrote the POTUS and my congresscritters sending them a white paper in which I outlined the impact of the bottom dropping out in oil prices, not only on the local level, but right up to the effect on petroleum exploration and the industry as a whole, with reference to how that affected both energy security and national security. I advocated a sliding scale tariff on foreign crude oil which would sustain exploration below a specific price point and fade out above the then not so astronomical price of $20/barrel, enough to keep the domestic industry going, but not enough of a support to negatively impact the consumer.

For my troubles, I got back a form letter, thanking me for my concerns about farm policy (at least someone read the zip code).

I have noted this on an ongoing basis, with the failure of the GOP to do anything other than merge left in pursuit of the "moderate" vote, steadily abandoning the Conservative and Constitutionalist voters while chasing the borderline liberals.

When the TEA party raised its objections and put forth candidates, lip service was paid to the ideas, and the freshman class that year was heavily reliant on the support of that group of "far right" Republicans. No doubt, the County Club faction seriously hoped that was another flash in the pan, and promptly ignored that voice. A large number of those elected thus forgot their backers, some even before they were sworn in, and the GOP went back to bid'ness as usual.

For the Country Club, despite its losses with the less than inspiring candidacies of McCain (who would have done even worse, imho without Sarah Palin, even while he was stabbing her in the back on the campaign trail) and Romney, an east coast liberal turned rino candidate, the shocker was the support Trump, an outsider who didn't play like one of the good ol' boys, received from the public. I honestly beleive that, instead of looking at those increasingly populist trends, seeking a voice, no matter how rough, that spoke what American conservatives and ordinary folks are thinking.

Well, damnit, that is an uncomfortable proposition for those who deem themselves our "ruling class", because it portends public involvement and concern in what the government is doing that the GOP is not prepared to deal with, nor cater to.

The idea that the Democrats broke the rules to defeat Trump portends less of a threat than the rooting out of the perfidy of the GOP and others in the entire process. They would have been more comfortable with Hillary as POTUS, because their usual pay for play and baksheesh harvesting operations would have just kept plugging along, the voters be damned. They are hoping for more sweetheart deals with A President Biden, because they know the corrupt former senator will do nothing to upset that applecart. But they underestimate the Democrats, who once the electoral process is completely corrupted, will not hesitate to make ours a one party government, and as totalitarian as any in history.

Their apple cart is going to be not just upset, but stolen or demolished by the very devils they've sold their souls to, but for now, if they play nice and pretend to be the "opposition" they will be tolerated while they line their nests with lobbyist money, and whatever other perks and bennies they can while not having to abide by the laws the rest of us must.

The Democrat candidates in Georgia are to the left of the Squad.    Failure to ensure that those elections are not stolen is essential to stopping the complete Socialist victory in the US, if the election of Biden can not be stopped. But the GOP is being largely mute about the theft of the election because they are uncomfortable with Trump.

Underestimating the popularity of Trump, but even more, the idea of a POTUS who actually appears to give a damn about the American people, which has, incidentally, reflected badly on the tone deafness of the GOP and those in the Party (for the most part) who occupy elected offices, the continued absence of the voices of those same elected officials in objection to what is obvious fraud only enrages the voters who have heretofore supported the GOP.
In that continued absence, expect the voters to look elsewhere for satisfaction.
