The Turtle is warning the senators .... that means that if they stand and fight he will strip them of their committees. IF the GOP loses their majority, I wouldn't be surprised if Cruz vacates the Senate.

Texas holdouts: Cruz and 16 U.S. House Republicans still mute on Biden even after McConnell declares he’s president-elect

The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, publicly acknowledged that Joe Biden is president-elect on Tuesday and privately urged fellow Republicans not to try to overturn the Electoral College victory that became apparent five weeks ago and formal on Monday.

Few Texas Republicans took the cue.

Sen. Ted Cruz still refrained from acknowledging President Donald Trump’s defeat. So did 16 of 22 GOP House members from Texas, even after McConnell’s remarks on the Senate floor added yet another nail in the coffin for Trump’s long-shot hopes of overturning the election.

Fourteen Texans were among the 126 House Republicans who signed a brief last week supporting a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas asking the Supreme Court to nullify Biden’s victories in four states.

Biden defeated Trump 306-232 in the Electoral College, and topped him by 7 million votes.

A handful of House Republicans plan to object when Congress votes Jan. 6 to certify the Electoral College tally — the final formality before inauguration. McConnell warned GOP senators not to join in what’s likely to be an embarrassing spectacle, which would force a choice between voting to repudiate Trump or the American electorate..........

“Our country has, officially, a president-elect and a vice president-elect,” McConnell said on the Senate floor. “Our system of government has processes to determine who will be sworn in on Jan. 20. The Electoral College has spoken. So today I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”

Those are words and sentiments that Trump has not uttered. And by all accounts through friends, aides and political allies, he will refuse to do so even as Biden is sworn in as the 46th president at noon on Jan. 20.

Cruz was active on Twitter throughout the day Tuesday, commenting on wordplay related to the name of Biden’s pick for transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, and stoking culture war concerns about the San Francisco school district stripping Abraham Lincoln’s name off a school.............

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Gee ... one Senator and 16 Congressmen have the courage to come forward and stand up for what is right.

Sad. Sad. Sad.

In addition we have some conservative SCOTUS justices that are afraid of their own shadows.

Sad.
