Biden, Harris named Time magazine's 'Person of the Year'

Time magazine has named President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris its “Person of the Year.”

Time's editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal says Biden and Harris won the honor for “changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world.”

Felsenthal notes, “Every elected President since FDR has at some point during his term been a Person of the Year, nearly a dozen of those in a presidential election year. This is the first time we have included a Vice President.”

Well it's Time Magazine, in my opinion they're a step or two down from Mad Magazine as far as journalistic integrity. And at least Mad was amusing and had that clever image on the back cover.

* Trump's Operation Warp Speed enabled several Covid-19 vaccines to reach FDA approval (EUA) or the brink of approval

* Researchers at BioNTech, Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford University, AstraZeneca, Jannsen Reasearch/Johnson & Johnson, and Novavax developed and tested the five vaccines that are in the approval process or late in their final test phase

* Researchers at AbCellera/Eli Lilly and Regeneron developed antibody treatments that have been approved (EUA); Gilead's Veklury was approved for treating Covid-19; just naming a few companies whose researchers worked their tails off to develop Covid-19 treatments

Naming Biden/Harris "Persons of the Year" is a slap in the faces of thousands of much more deserving people/groups. And that's just the deserving people who accomplished good things!
