Herman: Cruz awaiting results of presidential election

One thing I’m sure of: There’s not much that Sen. Ted Cruz isn’t sure of.

So it’s kind of odd that, unlike most Americans with a rudimentary understanding of basic math, Cruz still seems unsure about who won the recent presidential election.

“Well, look,” Cruz said in a Wednesday night Zoom session with local Headliners Club members, “there’s no doubt right now that Joe Biden is leading in the tallies that have been reported.”

Yes, he is. And there are sufficient, certified tallies to lead a reasonable person to reasonably deduce that President Donald Trump has been, as they say in baseball pennant races, mathematically eliminated.

Cruz’s commentary came a few hours after Trump’s posting of a 46-minute rant of a video in which, among other things, he declared it “statistically impossible” for him to have lost to Joe Biden.

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
