Ted Cruz Calls Lin Wood a ‘Clown’ Who Is ‘Trying to Mislead’ Georgia Voters

ATLANTA — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted attorney Lin Wood on Thursday for “trying to mislead” Georgians after Wood called for voters to boycott the critical Senate runoff election on January 5 because of alleged voter fraud that occurred in the presidential election.

Cruz emphasized the implications of Republicans refusing to vote in the runoffs, where the Senate majority hinges on at least one of the two Republican candidates on the ballot, Sens. David Perdue or Kelly Loeffler, winning their runoff race.

“I don’t know who this clown is,” Cruz wrote, “but anyone saying America would be better off w/ Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader—producing huge tax increases, the Green New Deal, massive amnesty & a packed Supreme Court destroying the Bill of Rights—is trying to mislead the people of Georgia.”

Lin Wood did NOT say that Republicans should avoid voting for Loeffler and Perdue.

He said that Loeffler & Perdue had to EARN your votes by getting Gov. Kemp to clean up the election system in Georgia.

Attorney Lin Wood Seeks More GOP Support in Fight Against Election Fraud

One of the lawyers leading a legal battle over election results in several states has criticized the Republican Party over a lack of support for the efforts, suggesting that GOP officials who fail to support President Donald Trump should lose their positions.

“Ask yourself this question: If you’re sending your money to the Republican Party in Georgia or you send any money to the national Republican Party, where the hell are they?” Atlanta-based attorney Lin Wood asked during a Dec. 2 rally in Georgia’s largest city.

“Where’s Ronna McDaniel? Where’s David Shafer? Why are the Republicans not fighting for Donald Trump? If they don’t fight for Donald Trump, including Loeffler and Shafer, send them all home,” Wood said.

McDaniel is the Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman, while Shafer heads the Georgia GOP. Kelly Loeffler is a junior senator from Georgia appointed to her seat in December 2019 by Gov. Brian Kemp after Sen. Johnny Isakson resigned for health reasons.

“Where’s Kelly Loeffler? Where’s David Perdue? You ought to be standing right here,” Wood said, addressing both of Georgia’s sitting senators who face runoff elections on Jan. 5 to defend their seats.

Wood said Loeffler and Perdue need to urge Kemp to call a special legislative session so that the state’s electoral votes can be decided by the legislature.

He said the runoff election shouldn’t be held on the same voting machines.

“You’re not going to fool Georgians again,” he said.

BTW, it was this "clown's" legal team that subpoenaed the State Farm video, which exposes ballot stuffing in Georgia.

Lin Wood should have banished the phrase "Republicans should withhold their votes" from his vocabulary until 1/6/21.  His timing ensured all kind of improper meaning could be applied by unscrupulous "journalists."

I like what Lin's been doing, but this was a blunder.
