The Supreme Court and new House are President Trump's immediate legacy
By Silvio Canto, Jr.

For the record, I'm hoping President Trump wins every challenge or the election goes to the House and he wins 26-24.  At the same time, it may not happen unless something changes very fast over the next couple of weeks.

Nevertheless, President Trump accomplished three things that will make it difficult for a President Biden to govern.

First, the appointments to the Supreme Court.  My guess is that this Court is going to drive the left crazy when President Biden tries to govern by executive orders.

Second, the new conservative women in the House.  They are pro-life and hate socialism.  These ladies will drive Nancy Pelosi crazy, especially when her own fragile majority falls apart.  They are a diverse group and confirm another Trump success with minorities, as Liz Peek wrote about Proposition 16 in deep blue California:

Quote

While African Americans might have been swayed by the promise of more access to higher education if admissions were based on race, Hispanics and Asians may have thought that affirmative action programs would work to their detriment.

It is noteworthy that despite every major Latino organization promoting Prop 16, every single majority-Hispanic county voted against it.

His next immediate legacy is going to be the absolute CRASH of the stock market should the SCOTUS rule in favor of Biden.

Actually I think the Chicoms will continue their Obama era shell game, and keep it afloat for their own benefit.

On a side not, I posted an article yesterday that there are some AAA Bonds in China that are on shaky ground right now.  That is a direct impact of Trump's get tough policy with the Chicoms.  Too bad the Trump era ended before we could finish them off.

You're probably right.

Just now, the talk-radio station news opened with, "...upon news that Janet Yellen will take over as Federal Reserve Chairperson, the Dow opened UP this morning. The NASDAQ is also up...."      :thud:

When one your first speeches is announcing adding $7.5T more in Fedzilla programs, no doubt the markets will factor in inflationary pressures.  I alluded earlier in the month that a Biden presidency would likely either trigger massive market selloffs, or Zimbabwe/Weimar inflationary disaster.  I still am not sure which is the more likely scenario.

Yellen's there because Slow Joe thinks he'll will able to muscle the Fed, in manipulation of monetary policy.  She's still a big government lackey.  This time, she is shy on bullets though.  Interest rates can't really go much lower, and infused wasted captial may end up in a tipping point on debt payment, where the collective economy's balls will be in a vice. That's the other side of the equation where the debt is unsustainbable, and markets crash than even worse in '29.
