Tuberville apparently owes McConnell nothing.
We'll see. This could be just posturing on Coach Tuberville's part. He's not very smart politically and that was pointed out constantly during the primaries. This could be (and probably is IMHO) grand standing to try and change that image.
If he is "smart politically," he'd have already kissed McConnell's butt and said, "No Massa, I won't object to Biden's illegal votes!"
I'd be willing to bet he'll fall in line.
@IsailedawayfromFR I agree with everything I read after clicking on that article, but have to add that the the "One Party" that will be RULING in DC if Slow Joe is sworn in will have total control over both the print and the electronic news industries. In other words, for a majority of Americans (and I ain't happy to admit so many of us are mindless drones),"Ifn it didint happen on the 6 O'Clock news on my teebee, hit didin happen!"Remember how so many people were shocked when Cronkite finally came out of the closet and pretty much admitted he was a tool for the Kennedy Klan and the 'murikan left",and he was WIDELY admired at the time and considered by most to be "the conscience of America",while stabbing us in the back the whole time.And....,take into consideration that most people don't pay any attention at all to national or international news. They tune in to their teebees to get local news, local weather, and maybe sports reports, and that's IT as far as news interest for them. To expect these people to question what their local news channel they have been trusting their whole lives is too much to expect/ask.As one famous philoposer has noted,"We haz met the enemey, and he is us!"
Quite true. Our side will have to create our megaphone (or purchase it). Maybe Trump will, if declared the official loser of this fiasco, put his money behind a new venue so that we can still have a voice. I just can't imagine our side (75 million pissed off American patriots) sitting quietly for the next four years.
If Trump switched to Parler and left Twitter, I think the exodus from twitter would be profound. Twitter is already chirping about shutting the POTUS up after Jan 21. I don't need their brand of filtering, myself, and will be leaving the platform then. Currently, I'm on MeWe.
But this is the only place where I speak, or write, or troll...Can't find a finer bunch of people to talk to.
I don't use Twitter AT ALL.... and only use Facebook from a long-standing WWF gameplay with an old friend. If there was any other venue that offered WWF, I'd be gone from there too.But frankly, a mere boycott of their leftie outlets won't be enough.
No, it won't, but it will deny them ad base and we won't depend on those channels being open for any sort of news or communication.
