All too many newspapers and other news outlets "report" in that manner. During my newspaper days, we had to verify someone's allegation with three other sources, or not print it at all. I was tasked with reporting on the ethical shortcomings and unbecoming behavior of a particular judge and was told things by eyewitnesses that would curl your hair - but couldn't include 95% of it in the stories, due to the lack of independent confirmation.

Powell apparently was never on the team in terms of being paid. So it is unclear that anything has actually changed on that front.

I have mixed feelings about this @catfish1957   There was more than one time in our home when the conversation revolved around "Why are we hearing so much about Maduro and Venezuela -- Where's Trump and Pennsylvania???"  and "Why are we hearing hourly from Powell who's just upped the kraken to biblical?"

We've heard there are lawsuits and appeals being readied for filing this week.  This may be a move to plough the field of more sexy marbles.   

I would have preferred more of a congenial explanation from the Ellis tweet.  --- Something along the lines of "Powell continues her work on investigating Dominion"  I thought the press release was much too harsh, only adding to a sense of dread.  This Ellis chick better be worth her weight in legal gold.  Because if her tweet was a personal slap down of Powell, win, lose or draw I want Ellis on the unemployment line when this is over.

The only thing that is certain is:  We'll know soon enough

That vote fraud undermines the very fabric of this Republic, and for that reason should be fought.  If she is successful, she is guaranteed a place in the history books, and prestige like that leads to better fees, clients, and cases.

Powell is very up front in saying "I don't do math", but I wish she would engage someone who does, because this Shiva dude Is an idiot and a fraud. People should look this guy's history up. It's the same game as the 'peer review' research on Climate Science: they quote each other's work and eventually, everything references flawed material. Nothing not on the 'inside' gets published; it is denied in the review process. This used to keep nonsense out of the journals and valid research in. That situation in some fields has flipped.
