Biden plans to name coronavirus task force on Monday

Joe Biden plans to announce his 12-person coronavirus task force on Monday, two sources with knowledge told CNN.

The task force will reportedly be lead by three cochairs: Former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner David Kessler and Yale University’s Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith.

Some context: The announcement, which will come just days after Biden was projected to win the presidential election, signals how seriously he plans to focus on the coronavirus pandemic from the outset of his transition.

Biden is not expected to announce cabinet nominations for weeks and may wait until control of the Senate is clear, the sources said. Biden has potential people in mind for most every top position, but the announcement of coronavirus underscores the priority he intends to place on that challenge.

  A Corona Virus Task Force? Why didn't Trump do that?!

There are a lot of areas in which Biden will attempt to do damage to the US if he becomes President, and this is one. At this point Trump has:

* Five (5) vaccines in the final pre-approval test phase, up to three (3) of which could reasonably be approved (EUA) and begin distribution before the end of 2020. The other two could reasonably be approved and begin distribution by spring of 2021;

* Four (4) monoclonal antibody treatments in the final pre-approval test phase, two of which have applied for Emergency Use Authorization (Regeneron and Eli Lilly);

* Necessary logistics under contract and planned out for mass-scale vaccine and/or treatments distribution;

* And much more, obviously.

Will Biden F#$% over the many pharmaceuticals companies because Not-Invented-Here and they worked with the Bad Orange Man? Or will Biden make use of all that Trump accomplished and try to pretend Trump had nothing to do with it? I personally think Biden is a sufficiently vindictive Donkey Anus to F#$% over the pharmaceuticals companies and the entire country just to destroy one of Trump's significant accomplishments.

Among them,  Vivek Murthy, David Kessler and, Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith have zero experience with infectious diseases. By way of contrast, under VP Pence's administrative leadership is Dr. Birx, who has a background in immunology and has been active in efforts against AIDS.
