Joe is a Trojan horse, but he's playing sweet music with talk of reconciliation. The task will be how to manage the policy damage. The best way is to keep the Senate. Then the filibuster stays, the moderating intent of Senate traditions remain. The Court doesn't get packed. Trump's real legacy - the course of the federal courts - can be sustained.
If we can't keep the Senate, then it's all up to the Dems to give us the issues for the mid-terms, where we can take back the House if the Dems make greedy/stupid mistakes. And they will. They would be inheriting a PANIC-demic of their own devise, and if they shut down the economy they will hari-kari themselves.
