Trafalgar’s Cahaly Sees Shift in Youth Vote Toward Trump

Oct 30, 2020

RUSH: Grab audio sound bite number 3. Robert Cahaly. Robert Cahaly is in charge of the Trafalgar polling group. They the ones that came closest to getting it right in 2016. He was on Laura Ingraham’s show last night on Fox, and the question was this: “You have exclusive new polling tonight. The main takeaway here is that Trump maintaining his lead over Biden in Florida. Trump just 2% off Biden in Nevada. And you say there’s a surprising group propping Trump up, moving his direction. Who is it?”

CAHALY: The youth vote is starting to move. The Hispanic numbers in both states is 41 for Trump. And the African-American number in Nevada, I believe, was 20, and 27 in Florida. And then the youth vote is starting to move. What they’re telling us is they’re moving about lockdowns.

There is a lockdown candidate and there’s a “let’s get back to business” candidate. It’s not a matter of safety. There’s this feeling that we can operate. We can wear the mask, we wash our hands, but let’s get back to it. And young people, what they saw in that debate was, there’s a guy who wants to lock ’em down again.

RUSH: Right. That would be Joe Biden. Now, if this is true — and we won’t know, of course, until the election. If the youth vote is in fact moving toward Trump, that would be huge. I mean, every four years we are spoon fed these presumptions, and the presumptions include that the youth vote is uniformly Democrat, that the youth vote is very hip, and it’s very much aware.

It realizes the Republicans a bunch of old fuddy-duddies, that conservatives are the people who want to take the fun out of their lives, and yet the youth of today can look around and see who it is that’s restricting their freedom, that eagerly want to restrict their freedom. Why, it’s none other than the Democrat Party!

It’s Democrat mayors and governors who cannot wait to lock down their states again. Did you see any of the photos coming out of Paris last night? There’s a 430-mile traffic jam in and out of Paris because they’re shutting the city down. They shut it down at midnight last night until December 1st.

Pretty simple explanation.  18-30 year olds need jobs.  It's no secret which party offers better prospects for employment.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

This is good news considering that it has been reported that polls reflect that millennial are accepting of socialism.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

You’re absolutely correct. That age group hates the lock down. Not only because of the jobs angle you mentioned, but because young people don’t want to be told what they can’t do. They are aggressively social people. They want to gather, party, hook up, meet new people; not unsafely, they’ll take some precautions, wear masks if the have to.

But they watched that Trump-Biden debate and saw on the democrat side this ancient politician promising to shut everything down; and on the other side, an energetic Trump saying open it up!

There is a cool factor to Trump. Name recognition, celebrity apprentice on TV, supermodel wife. You know, he’s kinda hip.

Biden? Boring, dull, a real snore. It’s natural they would be drawn more towards Trump and not Biden. It makes sense.

I hope you're right. If I were eighteen again I would listen to the schools marms and scolds and then vote exactly the opposite.

If this does happen (and I'm skeptical it will) it will be because of the woke crap, not the lockdown stuff.
