[b]Q. Why is the CDC recommending that people wear cloth masks in public?
A. The reason to do this, even though they're not quite the same efficacy as medical masks, is that they do have some level of efficacy. They are not only a way of decreasing breathing in the virus, primarily through large respiratory droplets, but also a behavioral reminder that there's a pandemic and life is not the same right now ― and a reminder not to put our hands in our eyes nose or mouth until we've washed our hands.[/b]
So all the bandanas, neck gaiters and pretty much all the cloth masks being sold everywhere are all but useless..........except as reminders, because of course Americans are to damn stupid to remember there is a pandemic going on and practice good hygiene unless Nanny Government tells us what to do. I have lived through three previous pandemics two of which the great and powerful Fauci was in charge if I recall and at no time do I recall Fauci recommending that Americans go into lock down and the economy be destroyed, certainly not during Barry and Joe's watch. If I were a suspicious type(OK I am) I would wonder if the esteemed Dr. Fauci was letting his personal politics come into play.
I really don't care to hear about Fauci's qualifications, there are many highly educated and qualified individuals in both government and private industry that willingly commit ethics violations in the name of their personal beliefs and I believe Fauci is one of them.
