45-yr-old woman in a boatload of trouble for allegedly ‘using’ minors to steal Trump, GOP signs

An anti-Trump zealot from New York is facing a litany of charges thanks to her apparent disdain for the president and Republican Party.
Meet Deana M. Algarin, a 45-year-old woman who allegedly “used†six children, some of them under the age of 15, to steal campaign signs for President Donald Trump and New York Rep. Elise Stefanik from homes in Tribes Hill and Amsterdam.
According to a statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook, Algarin was busted on Sunday with both the six kids and the Trump/Stefanik signs in her car.
“It was learned that Deana M. Algarin was driving 6 juveniles around so they could steal the signs. Deana was stopped by the New York State Police on County Highway 103 in Schenectady County after Montgomery County Dispatchers were able to locate the car, the signs were located within the vehicle,†the office said.
“Deana was taken into custody and charged with 6 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana, petit larceny and 2 citations for no seatbelt on a child less than 15 Y/O. Deana is to appear in The Town of Amsterdam, the Town of Glen, and the Town of Glenville Courts at later dates.â€
It appears the charges are all misdemeanors. It’s unclear how much time she faces.
