I posted in the other thread about one of the worst musicians to come out of Canada. Here's one of the best, Gordon Lightfoot, with one of his earliest hits.

Love Gordon Lightfoot.  Another one my husband really liked is Roger Whittaker -- I didn't realize he was English/Kenyan.......

Seger, John Fogerty, so many greats from the 70's...  I miss real music, everything is syntasized these days or rap -- which is even worse... even country isn't country any longer...

this is another of my Seger favorites -- if you really listen to the words there is a lot of great relationship insight for everyone in this song

Robert John "Sad Eyes" (1979 - #1 hit)

This is one of those songs that has so many memories.  I used to travel abroad and be "gone" for many months at a time.  I would go years without darkening my door in the US.

I was in Trinidad waiting for a co-worker to arrive.  I was standing on a rooftop watching flights arriving and listening to this song on my Walkman.  Watching the plane arrive at about 1:00am was surreal.  Enjoy.
