Fond memories there, DCP.  Thank you,

BTW... Melody Gardot's new release is scheduled for May 29.  I have advance ordered it through Amazon.

Laugh At Me - Sonny (without Cher)

Sonny Bono's lone solo hit. He didn't have a very good voice, but he could make the rest of it around him sound great.

HALL & OATES - WHEN THE MORNING COMES - STUDIO VERSION

One of the very best from Hall & Oates!

Elvis Presley - Suspicion (Original Stereo Studio Take)

Most people think of Terry Stafford's version....but Elvis does a fine job on it.

This thread helped me accomplish my goal for today . . . do nothing!

I stayed home from work today, cause I'm just not feeling good.  I only meant to spend a few minutes at this website, then go lay on the couch and read . . . . four hours later I am up to date here & have lots of awesome songs stuck in my head.
I'm fluent in three languages: English, Sarcasm, and Profanity.

It is almost a law of history that the same wealth that generates a civilization announces its decay. For wealth produce ease as well as art; it softens a people to the ways of luxury and peace and invites invasion from stronger arms and hungrier mouths.

I love Jesus Christ Super Star.....I remember when that came out, Scythian, and I had to buy the album just for that song... and yes, they were still albums back then - before 8-tracks... I haven't looked, but I think I still have it here in a big box of Albums.
