SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Sept. 25 is National One-Hit Wonder Day! A day where we can celebrate those songs that topped the charts but then their performers faded away from the music scene.

What are some of your favorite one-hit wonders? Let us know on our social media pages!

I'll start it off! 8-)

This guy was the king of one hit wonders

Quote
Burrows sang the lead vocals on several one-hit wonder songs under different group names, Edison Lighthouse’s “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)” (February 1970);

White Plains’ “My Baby Loves Lovin’” (March 1970);

The Pipkins’ novelty song “Gimme Dat Ding” (April 1970); and The First Class’ “Beach Baby” (July 1974).

He also sang lead vocals on The Brotherhood of Man’s “United We Stand”, which reached #10 on the UK charts and also reached #13 in the U.S.

Some one-hit wonders hold up well.  Others not so much, just a flash in the pan!

"In The Garden of Eden"  Man...
That song was so long (an entire album side) It might count as 5 one hit wonders.

I didn’t know there was another version of “tainted Love” I was thinking of the 80s that played everywhere when I was in college and morphed into “Baby where did our love go”.

It was so dang awful it was good.

Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Sugarloaf, not a one-hit wonder, they also had "Don't Call Us (We'll Call You)" a few years later.

I had forgotten about that song and who did it.

So make'm a two hit wonder...

Music Choice has these decades channels and I had it on the 70s one one day and that is how I discovered that song. I heard it and thought "this is weird, and yet I love it."
