 DOJ Officially Designates NYC, Portland, Seattle As Violent Anarchy Zones

The Department of Justice labeled New York City, Portland, and Seattle as cities “permitting violence and destruction of property,” in a statement Monday.

Attorney General William Barr said state and local leaders in these cities are endangering citizens, including peaceful protestors.

“We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance. It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens,” he said.

Citing various failures by each city such as rising gun violence, police budget cuts, lack of prosecution for those arrested and charged with “protest-related charges,” lack of protection against property destruction and vandalism,  rejection of federal law enforcement, and allowing anarchists to take over certain geographical areas such as CHOP, the DOJ noted that these cities all failed to handle the rapidly increasing violence that occurred in their areas in response to the death of George Floyd in May.

DOJ said other cities will be evaluated for the list using qualifications including the prohibition of police intervention, removal of law enforcement from certain areas, defunding of police departments, the acceptance or rejection of federal law enforcement to the area, and “any other related factors the Attorney General deems appropriate.”

Are the feds setting the stage for a take over of certain city governments in order to establish peace right after the elections?

After all,after MONTHS of the local leftist governments doing anything at all to protect their own citizens while protecting outside agitators,this has to be wearing thin with the "non-coastal Americans",who will probably stand up and cheer if it finally happens.

Not that I think the Dims were trying to bait them into sending in troops so the ANTIFA crowd would open fire on them in order to bait the troops into opening fire on US citizens so the Dims could scream about Trump being a Nazi right before the election.

I am almost certain the left would never dream of doing such a thing.

Fairly certain?

Have a suspicion?

One thing I know for certain is that the trust fund chill-runs running around wearing black body armor and helmets are going to learn a painful lesson if they ever face off with the US Army and start throwing Molotov Cocktails or taking pot shots at them like they have the city police forces.

Soldiers are NOT policemen,and have an entirely different mindset.

Or those few who survive it will probably learn,anyhow.

No fun playing 'combat' when theres a real chance of injury a shot of Simply Saline spray won't fix.

New York City was among three cities labeled “anarchist jurisdictions” by the Justice Department on Sunday and targeted to lose federal money for failing to control protesters and defunding cops, The Post has learned.

Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., were the other two cities on the list, which was approved by US Attorney General William Barr.

“When state and local leaders impede their own law enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest,” Barr said in a statement set to be released Monday.
