Last week, Nate Silver, the polling analyst, tweeted a chart illustrating the chances that Joe Biden would become president if he wins the most votes in November.

The “if” is probably unnecessary. It’s hard to find anyone who disputes that Mr. Biden will win the most votes. This isn’t a liberal’s fantasy. In a recent panel discussion among four veteran Republican campaign managers, one acknowledged, “We’re going to lose the popular vote.” Another responded, “Oh, that’s a given.” The real question is will Mr. Biden win enough more votes than President Trump to overcome this year’s bias in the Electoral College.

What makes me think that if it were Republicans winning the popular vote but losing the EC, this person would not be so concerned?
He states that he still cannot understand the logic of the EC despite writing a book about it.
He obviously would love it if the mob dictated to the rest of America.
Actually, apart from California, Trump won the popular vote in 2016.
We know why California, a formerly reliable Republican state, has gone totally to Dems. The influx of millions of Hispanics from south of border, who outbreed  non-Hispanics, has turned California semi-commie.
That is why the EC is a necessary tool for trying to keep the country from going totally commie.

My complaint is that they did not go far enough. EC should be demanded of every STATE too wrt districts or counties, as part of their promise to provide for a Republic in their constitutions... That would go a very long way toward removing the influence of mega cities upon the states... Something no doubt would not have occurred to them at that time.

Reading thru it, it seems his main gripe (after meandering in circles for some paragraphs then moving the goalposts) is the winner-take-all format.

Fine, do it by congressional district. If it had been that way in '12, Romney for better or worse would have beaten Obama.
