When you look out in the Atlantic, it is brewing like a tea kettle. And.... It's now only September 4th, and we are already on the "O" Storm.
But a little good news. Our location in Texas spares us from major late storms. By the middle to end of the month of September, we start seeing fronts and troughs that help steer the storms more north and east of our direction. In fact, since 1851 the latest major hurricanes to strike Texas were The unnamed storm of 1941 and Rita in 2005. Both hit around September 24th. Not to say a late season one might not hit. But history says otherwise.
