Yup....this will go on for WEEKS before it's decided....maybe MONTHS. And lawsuit after lawsuit.....with the Supreme Court getting involved, which won't end well. This could seriously cause a civil war.....
One thing is clear. Electors must meet in each State capital on Dec 14 to cast their votes. If the electors of a State fail to vote, then that State's votes aren't counted, and the threshold for victory is reduced accordingly. For example, if Wisconsin fails to report its ten electoral votes, then the winner needs 265 of 528 votes instead of 270 of 538.
Democrat governors of States that go for Trump would have an incentive to disrupt the process. Let's say Trump wins Wisconsin. But if Wisconsin's governor somehow prevents the electors from meeting on Dec 14 and casting their votes, then those 10 electoral votes would be tossed.
Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina delivered 61 electoral votes for Trump four years ago. Today, all four have Democrat governors.
