Kenosha shooting suspect attended Trump rally in January: report

Kyle Rittenhouse, the Illinois teen charged with fatally shooting two people at a Black Lives Matter protest Tuesday night in Kenosha, Wis., appears to have attended one of President Trump’s campaign rallies in January.

A TikTok video on an account that appears to belong to Rittenhouse shows the teen standing in the front row of a Trump rally in Des Moines, Iowa, on Jan. 30, BuzzFeed News first reported.

A review of his other social media accounts appeared to show he was a supporter of President Trump and the pro-law enforcement “Blue Lives Matter” movement.


On Tuesday, Rittenhouse showed up with his rifle to the third night of Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha after the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man.

Kenosha devolved into anarchy because the authorities abandoned the people. Those in charge, from the governor on down, refused to enforce the law. They’ve stood back and watched Kenosha burn. Are we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder?

I watched the videos:

To me, and I am no expert, It looked like self defense. The first guy was chasing him, and he shot him in the head. The second guy was beating him with the skateboard. He paused for a moment and appeared ready to attack again when he was shot in the chest. The third guy was punching, paused for a moment. Kyle brought the rifle up but did not shoot until the guy took another step toward him. Kyle fired and hit him in the arm.
If he had to be charged I would have said manslaughter. I think they over charged him with the hopes of him getting off after seeing the videos.
