I'm sure this is a very partial sample of the Trump Administration's actions re PPE. I could make a similar list for obtaining and supplying ventilators. I guess announcing accomplishments and progress the MSM don't want covered is "politicization".

(CNN)The last overseas flight to expedite shipment of supplies through the Trump administration's "Project Airbridge" initiative is scheduled to arrive in Ohio on Tuesday, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The history of major plagues goes back AT LEAST to the Great Plague of Athens...in which as many as 1/3 of the Athenian populace died. That event almost certainly cost Athens victory in the Peloponnesian War, a turning point in world history. That plague was believed to be the work of Yersinia Pestis, a deadly bacteria which was fated to re-occur in Rome (In the Antonine and other plague outbreaks) and down through the Middle Ages and the Black Death. My graduate thesis, ironically, was on the historical impact of Y Pestis in the ancient world...with a focus on its impact on the Peloponnesian conflict.

And man did not survive guided by the "strong hand" of leadership...most who had means and were "leaders" hid themselves away whilst the virus burned its way through the populace. Once herd immunity was attained, the virus would dissipate...for a generation or so, if lucky. As it does now, the path of the virus followed the path of commerce...and as the United States is the epicenter of commerce in this world...there was no way for us to avoid a full frontal punch in this pandemic. And, I might add, in future pandemics.

Luckily for this, THIS virus is little more than a bad flu in terms of mortality...so we can thank our stars for that. As for leadership, the truth with this kind of pandemic is that once the genie is out of the bottle the virus is going to run its course. The Chinese let the genie out...and at that moment we were doomed...and there's almost nothing the President could have done to prevent that. As for mitigating the effects on the populace, the President has moved mountains to gather and deploy the resources and treatment that could conceivably be summoned. He has almost literally done everything that COULD be rationally done...short of some kind of draconian in home lockdown/incarceration being put in place in early January. Even with that, its unlikely this virus would have been slowed much.

The kind of shabby "analysis" Absalom has put forth...in a thinly veiled effort to take a swipe at "orange man bad" is precisely why HE is, sadly, soon to get the leadership he deserves (if Biden wins).

What was known on January 22? The first confirmed Covid-19 case in the US was confirmed on January 20th, https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2020/p0121-novel-coronavirus-travel-case.html . So Trump's statement was reasonable for what was known at the time.

What was known on January 30? Trump's statement says it, "We have very little problem in this country at this moment — five." Five people in a country of >300M. Note, too, that he qualified his comment with, "at this moment".

As for Trump's statements on February 24th, 25, and 26th, his statement on the 26th gives the context of what he knew at the time: "when you have 15 people". 15 total known infections. When the first confirmed infection was confirmed on January 20th. 14 new known infections over a 5 week time period. Not the least unreasonable for what was known at the time.

And then explain that "FEB28" quote that left the parts of Trump's comment that contradicted your anti-Trump point.
