Those arrests should have been made when they overturned the barricades surrounding the WH and they had to take Trump into protection.

Trump declared that they would be dealt with swiftly when he walked over to St. John's with a Bible in hand  and they weren't. He also declared at the Independence Day speech at Mt. Rushmore that the violence would be dealt with and stopped and it wasn't.

IMHO this inaction cost Trump the election.  It was then that the DEMS, Antifa, BLM and other subversives called his bluff and were reassured that they were completely in control; so much that our SCOTUS looked the other way even with the evidence of fraud and corruption during the election for fear of an uprising. The subversives will now continue on as 'enforcers' to anyone who won't march to the tune of the new Biden/Harris regime.  They are only beginning to make their demands on us.

We have no legal system that will protect this country and its citizens and in parts of this country the police departments have been dissolved.

Stay focused. What has so far cost Trump the election was things like 200,000 more votes than voters in PA, reproduced in one form or another in four or five States. We call that FRAUD, and that fact has not gone away, despite the MSM and the Democrats and the SCOTUS looking the other way.

Baloney.  No one voted against Trump because he was soft on violence.

What cost him the election was the many hundreds of thousands or millions of manufactured  fake ballots and Dominion machines in a handful of populated counties controlled by Dems.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted his policies in dealing with Antifa anarchists failed. He called for new enforcement actions and asked for federal and state assistance in dealing with the lawlessness.

“My good-faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said in a New Year’s Day press conference. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

“It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness,” the Portland mayor continued.

The mayor’s remarks follow violent attacks by Antifa on Portland Police Bureau officers and destruction of businesses in the downtown district on New Year’s Eve. The anarchists attacked their officers with commercial-grade fireworks and firebombs. Antifa rioters threw at least two Molotov cocktail-style firebombs and launched multiple commercial-grade fireworks at Portland police as they attempted to defend the downtown business district and the federal courthouse.

Because of his months of incompetence, Wheeler should first resign, then we can talk about sending in troops & cops.  He'll probably pull a 180 and reverse course, and that would be trouble for anybody sent in to help.  He should go, along with the prosecutors who keep releasing the miscreants after arrest. 

There is no upside to trying to shore up a dam that's already collapsing.

    Wheeler and a dinner companion had just arrived at Café Nell in the Nob Hill neighborhood about 8:30 p.m. when a group of people confronted the pair, who were seated in an outdoor dining area, according to a City Hall official who asked not to be named.

    Wheeler took out his phone to snap a photo of the hecklers, the official said. That’s when, according to Wheeler, a woman in the crowd “swatted” at him and struck his shoulder, the official said.
