Chances are,if it weren't for them and Huey Cobras,I would have died in 1969.
Yeah,they CAN be considered to be "big fat targets circling at 500" feet by some,but not by anyone who wants to draw attention to himself by shooting at one of them. Some even fly around with a 105 MM cannon that fires out the tailgate,in addition to all the mini-guns.
It is an awesome spectacle to see a couple of them working over you at night. They light up the sky when they fire.
