Every day, the local news has another doom and gloom report on the number of new cases and how many have died since the day before. But I was reading some statistics for test results broken down by county. There are still far more negative test results than positive. And no one can tell us of those daily new numbers, how many of the deceased were elderly and/or chronically ill and of the new cases, how many were asymptomatic, how many were hospitalized or recovering at home, etc.
Pennsylvania was already caught once including "suspected" cases of COVID with the "confirmed" cases. I suspect the state is still doing it. Nowadays, anyone with a sniffle is counted as a COVID case with no proof. And I still suspect that these tests are producing at least some false positives.
But no one will look into these issues. The local governments accept the doom and gloom stats as fact without really checking them and use these stats to justify their dictatorial pronouncements.
And whatever happened to investigative journalism? Isn't there any crack reporter willing to dig deeper into these numbers and maybe expose fraud? Or have they all been threatened into silence?
I believe if these politicians try to force another lockdown like the one we had in March, there will be an uprising. People were scared enough to go along with isolation for a time, but once they tasted freedom, you can be sure many will fight like hell to stay out of prison this time.
