Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan can’t be feeling terribly popular these days. No matter what she does (or in most cases, what she doesn’t do), people seem to be upset with her. Some of her city’s residents are so fed up that they’ve kicked off an effort to recall her from office. Well, there are multiple efforts, actually, but only one of them has made significant progress. That recall effort was challenged in court by the Mayor, but on Friday a Superior Court judge ruled that the recall effort can move forward, though only one of the original accusations was approved.
Maybe, maybe not. Seattle is a communist/socialist stronghold and may consider her "heroic" for letting the city down.
I don't know. Democrats/leftists generally don't go against 'their own'. They circle the wagons and double down on their leftist stupidity. Maybe some of them had a miraculous epiphany...? Will have to check the temp in Hell, if so.
Likely she wasn't leftist enough for them....Pooor widdle terrowists got tear gassed. Token resistance from police until they were called off, etc.
Have a long-time friend that has childhood liberal friends living in Seattle. Not even a year ago she had stated that she wanted to move to Seattle (it's just so ""beautiful"")...and why didn't I come, too. We could be roommates. I was aghast, needless to say. Told her that I wasn't leaving Texas, but if I ever did... it sure as hell wouldn't be moving to that leftist s-hole. She recently admitted how right I was. Finally.
Lots of beautiful stuff in SF, but I've been avoiding as best I can for almost 4 decades - loony politics even before the "homeless" became sacred and free-range.
Let's suppose... just suppose... that Durkan gets recalled.A new election will be held for mayor.I wouldn't be surprised if that out-and-out Indian-immigrant communist gal (can't remember her name, but she's on the city council, she's the one that unlocked City Hall so the chaz invaders could occupy it) runs for the office....And wins.
