I know enough about virology, and epidmeology that oral disinfectants are not going to impact disease vectors entering the Respiratory System.
But the comment did bring up an idea, that I surprised that Pharma hasn't considered or researched. What if an inhaler was introduced that had necessary viralcides, that people could periodically use as a preventive measure. Seems a slight coating of the mucous membranes, might be benefical in at least reducing the probablity of disease getting a toe hold.
