I am not saying it isn't some kind of Antifa based terror effort, but buidlings do burn.  In fact about 10 years ago one about 15 miles from here burned was attributed to ummm...  a little insurance fraud.

Would like to really see a statistical analysis, to see if this is really terror driven.

DDGing around a bit, the Alabama fire is still under investigation. The building had not been used for services or gatherings since March. The fire started in the sanctuary. One not quite wild speculation I would suggest is homeless squatters who started a fire for cooking or ?? ...

My almost baseless WAGs would be electrical fire (Mission San Gabriel was not among the best maintained of the still-standing missions) or some intersection of anti-mission "Native Americans" and Antifoids (because current events). At this point I think electrical fire a bit more likely, because older buildings tend to incorporate old wiring done to old codes plus additions and repairs that might not have complied with code.

Seems the Antifa pukes are after high profile targets that they can score points, and do their "dirty" in the most stealth and cowardly manner possible. Attacking a building that might be empty 6 days a week meets that criteria to a "T"

Maybe -- but I'm thinking that if the terrorists doing all the burning and looting lately are financed by communist organizations, they might have been incited to target religious institutions.  What I remember from communist takeovers in Russia and in China -- there was a concerted effort to stamp out churches or anything even remotely related to religion.  Communism is supposed to be the only religion allowed. 

But I am supposing communists are running the show.   I don't really know.   I thought Bill Barr was going to look into that, but so far, crickets.    And I doubt we will ever know.

You clearly believe the lies reported during the Cold War. There were Russian Orthodox Churches open all over Russia the entire time the Communists ruled there. In FACT,"Russian Orthodox Priest" was a KGB career field.

Think about it for a minute,who BETTER to spy on the citizens and report their "sins" than their priests?

Yes,Stalin DID have most of the Churches in Russia shut down. It made it easier for them to funnel the "true believers" into churches controlled by the KGB.

When you consider that by 1939 the Soviets had moved almost all the rural people to the new industrialized cities they had built,a couple hundred RO Churches is a significant number.

And,of course,nobody ever counted the RO believers left living in the wilderness areas to trap and mine who ran their own services. Nobody even cared about them. They were too few,too scattered,and too far from Moscow to be a danger.

BTW,I visited more than a few of the RO Churches on my two trips to Moscow,including one in Moscow that was still boarded up from when it had been used to store grain.

I also attended a wedding at St.Basil's Cathedral in Red Square in Moscow (so beautiful in person it will take your breath away),the Peter and Paul Cathedral in Moscow where Catherine the Great is buried (truly a "holey" figure according to the history books) ,and went to a repair shop in the Mari Republic where they restored the golden "onion domes" for the RO churches.

This was right after communism collapsed in Russia,and there was a tremendous amount of history still to be seen.

I disagree.

A statue of Jesus is an icon of "the white, Christian West", and as such, is subject to the same "political/cultural attacks" by the rampaging black/red guards as would be statues of Jefferson or R.L. Lee.

More attacks on religious statues and buildings to come, as they are many and are less "protected" as the public statues in town squares or in front of government buildings...
