Air Force Flying Car Trade Show Puts $10M of Contracts on the Table
9 Jul 2020
The Dayton Daily News | By Thomas Gnau
The Air Force is pursuing flying cars -- and it's for real.
And now there's a real opportunity for small businesses to get involved. A virtual trade show will continue to explore concepts next week. Register at

to attend.
The new expanded AFWERX team -- a community of Air Force innovators -- will host the event with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, from July 15 to 16.

I cannot help but think this is just another welfare program...
What can a flying car do that a helicopter cannot?
Flying care... 4 engines to maintain... very limited payload.. just a maintenance nightmare looking for a place to happen..

Maybe military vehicles are beneath the dignity of flag officers and they need a flying car to show how "important" they are.
