Supreme Court expected to close out term with opinions on Trump financial records
by Anthony Leonardi, Breaking News Reporter

The Supreme Court is expected to release landmark opinions this week on the requests for President Trump's tax returns and financial records long pursued by Democrats.

The high court is anticipated to release on Thursday decisions for Trump v. Mazars USA, LLP, a case involving subpoenas from the House Oversight Committee for Trump's financial records, and Trump v. Vance, which focuses on subpoenas issued by the district attorney of New York County. Decisions on each subpoena will have entirely different constitutional repercussions.

In Trump v. Mazars USA, justices are exploring the question of whether Congress exceeded its authority by issuing a subpoena for the private documents in Trump's accounting firm Mazars USA and business Deutsche Bank, a creditor for Trump's properties as a private citizen.

Trump sued the panel to prevent the accounting firm from releasing the records, arguing that it would serve no legitimate legislative purpose. The House, however, has argued that lawmakers need the documents to determine whether it is necessary to amend ethics-in-government laws.

It's beyond me how the SCOTUS could require his tax returns.

Hope it's not a 5-4 decision.

POTUS..gave us his FINANCIAL STATEMENT ...TWICE.  It lists all his assets and his liabilities.   A tax return, does not show that, except bits & pieces.  However a F/S..is complied from all tax returns.  There is NO reason to look at any of POTUS  TAX RETURNS....nor make the public.  This is harassment.  Nothing to do with what demon-rats say.  THEY NEED TO BE AUDITED AND EXPOSED.   THEY ARE SAYING....the laws THEY put into action and IRS...goes by, that somehow, POTUS didn't follow the law?

WHY DON'T THEY DEMAND TO LOOK AT ALL CLINTONS TAX RETURNS?  They use the same laws TRUMP DID. The HOUSE creates these laws.  Accounting firms have big books on all the laws they change year after year.  I used to have to put in new pages.

ACCOUNTING FIRMS HAVE ALL THE LAWS.  LAME, IGNORANT REASON.  They want to see how to screw over TRUMP BUSINESS.
This is so unethical. SO, IRS,..doing all kind of audits is NOT ENOUGH?  I've helped with audits. Going over every check, receipt with fine too comb.  Boxes of stuff.  They can look at any of their OWN RETURNS.

"The House, however, has argued that lawmakers need the documents to determine whether it is necessary to amend ethics-in-government laws."  =ARTICLE.

   If they want to do this, it will open up ALL OF THEIR TAX RETURNS.....TOO.  ALL TAX RETURNS FROM EVERYONE...ALL OF CONGRESS.  ALL FROM Supreme Court  TOO.  EVERYONE.  I hope they are smarter than,  to give in to the demon-rat house.

As all federal employees above a certain level are required to do.  Not one of them  is required  to release their tax returns or financial records.
