The specified range of the 1980s McDonnell Douglas A-12 (a different plane from Lockheed's A-12, from which the SR-71 was developed) was significantly less than either the A-6E or the F/A-18 and F-35. While the A-6E was longer range than are the F/A-18 and F-35, the difference is not as great as for the A-12.
