Don't believe the polls: Trump's populist presidency may carry him to victory in 2020
By Joshua H. Sandman, opinion contributor — 06/20/20 06:00 PM EDT

Current polling shows President Trump seriously trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race — but current polls are not an accurate gauge for predicting the November election outcome.

After all, if all the polling data up to the day of the 2016 election was correct, Hillary Clinton would be president. Polling is an art as well as a science. Evaluating raw polling data depends on the perceptions — or misperceptions — of those doing the polling.

President Trump’s enduring strength emanates from his being a populist president. Populist candidates and leaders, like Trump, reach out to the common citizens who believe that their interests and concerns have not been addressed by the established government, economic, and social institutions. Trump pledged to be the voice of the forgotten man and woman.

Trump’s populist messages and actions in office have been directed towards his loyal and supportive base — the “forgotten,” the non-college educated and working class (especially in small towns and rural areas), Evangelical Christians and social and cultural conservatives, as well as conservative Republicans.

And it’s working.

Of course don't believe the polls.  Polls are swayed.  If the DEMS truly felt that Trump wasn't going to be re-elected that wouldn't have impeached him and certainly they wouldn't have tanked the economy.  Whether one believes that the Chinese virus was inflicted on this country to ensure that Trump wouldn't win re-election is IMHO still disputable.

What isn't disputable is that the MSM and the DEMS have done everything to derail this presidency.  If he wasn't still a threat, George Floyd's death wouldn't have been used to create the chaos that we are witnessing in the streets.

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
