The top editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer has resigned after a "Buildings Matter, Too" headline spurred dozens of journalists of color inside the newsroom to skip work and demand the newspaper tackle diversity problems.

The Inquirer's publisher, Lisa Hughes, announced in a memo to staff on Saturday that Executive Editor Stan Wischnowski would formally step down from his post on June 12, according to reports.

Hughes thanked Wischnowski for his service leading the paper but noted that leadership would use the incident to "evaluate the organizational structure and processes of the newsroom, assess what we need, and look both internally and externally for a seasoned leader who embodies our values, embraces our shared strategy, and understands the diversity of the communities we serve," the Inquirer reported.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

Not casting aspersions. No "racism" is intended.
But as a broad generality, minorities I know do not normally buy newspapers.
Not really sure how effective it will be to pander to them. But...whatever?

Yeah, but what do we do when the fascists are in our city halls and governors‘ mansions and sprinkled throughout the fedgov? Enemies foreign and domestic

Anybody else worried yet? I am. We’re living a nightmare scenario and I don’t think I’m overreacting.

I don't think you are, either.

I'm amazed that after decades of being inundated with anti fascist media only a few seem capable of recognizing it as it pounds on our front door.

I am willing to bet that Stan Wischnowski is a dyed-in-the-wool card-carrying liberal who has pushed the global socialist agenda for his entire career.  Now he is being driven into exile by the people on his own plantation.  I guess he will no longer be welcome at Philadelphia high society parties.  But no worries.  The plantation owners will find another overseer, one who has had sensitivity training.  They always do.

I think it is more about demographics.
Us old folks are no longer where the money is so the media, sports, etc are turning their focus on the under 40 crowd and are not worried about alienating the old guard

@skeeter

We should have started standing up to them in the 60's,but we caved for convenience.

Look at all the lives that could have been saved if we had.

The Millennials and subsequent generations are gonna have to learn what it takes to preserve their freedom in a vacuum.

Public education & the popular media sure didn't bother teaching them.

NOT a bet I would be taking.

It's ok,though. He is being replaced by a more fashionable drone, and as a faithful comrade with a pension,I am sure he agrees this was the right thing to do.

He can now sit around the homeless campfires of his dreams, and lead them in singing "Kumbya".

I'm amazed that after decades of being inundated with anti fascist media only a few seem capable of recognizing it as it pounds on our front door.
It is about the intentional perversion of language and the perversion of definitions by the American Left in academia. It is the inculcation of an opposite reality.

Somehow, in common perception, the National Socialist German Workers Party (NAZI) were Christian Republicans. Which of course is opposite. According to academia, the Confederate Army were Republicans and the Union soldiers were Democrats. Which of course is opposite. The KKK, Jim Crow, and Segregation, were all Republican institutions. Again, the opposite of reality.

They do not recognize real actual fascism because the definition has become deliberately distorted and twisted by the American Left over decades. Today, millenials believe that 'a fascist' is anyone who is not with the Socialist agenda. To them, 'a fascist' is a Christian Republican. And this perception is reinforced daily from the very top echelons of academia, the popular media, and in governments, local and national.

They do not recognize fascism because they do not even know what it is. So, they go to the simplest definition available. And that is, anyone who disagrees with anything I believe or do is a fascist. Which of course, is what fascists do.

They, the American Left, are the very definition of fascism. But the rank and file idiots doing their bidding have no idea that they are doing exactly what they claim to oppose and hate. They are empty vessels which have been filled with hate and violence to serve the politicians and billionaires which control them, the same as it has always been done all throughout history.

I witnessed a demonsstration online(facebook live) yesterday in my town.

Looked like Triangulation, pragmatic "tribal" allignments.

1. Locals. Businesses, residents, surfers, Police city government etc.

2. Black lives Matter.

3. Antifal-outsider trouble makers.

I cannot put it entirely together yet, but will soon.

Locals/Blm and cops in agreement, the city wants peace, prosperity, so they align against outside violent forces. (Surf culture is international, youth oriented, not racist)

BTW this is a small town with plenty of history with some trouble, generally handled well. Cops with a firm, professional reputation.

Fascists always get the 'far right' designation. But what about them makes them far right? Ultra nationalism? Has to be that because there is nothing else to make them distinct from leftist/socialist extremists as they seek dominance.

And once the Antifa types obliterate traditional patriotism in America what do you suppose they'll replace it with? They certainly won't allow continued hate that they have encouraged for the new nation they've created in their image. Rather, any opposition will be called 'unpatriotic'.

How will Wikipedia define 'fascism' then?

We’re in uncharted waters in the average American’s experience. Europeans and Latin American’s know, Africans know. By now I had hoped we’d know socialism by historical knowledge rather than by direct experience. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

@skeeter

I disagree. It will be tagged as crimes against the state, which is maybe one step more serious than felonies are today.

Remember,"the state" is EVERYTHING to the left. It is their virtual mama, and you know what happens to people who start trashing your mama!

Dream on.
Not gonna happen within the leftist media organizations.

They're going to continually purge their ranks of wrongthink in their quest for ideological purity. And one round isn't going to be enough. As soon as the most egregious offenders are gone, they'll be back for another go at it.

The only way you're going to clean out these places is to remove the occupants and do a controlled demolition on the buildings.

Then clean up the grounds and start over.
