$37M worth of cocaine seized, Coast Guard Cutter Active returning home after counter-narcotic patrol

PORT ANGELES, Wash. – The Coast Guard Cutter Active is scheduled to return to Port Angeles on May 26 after encountering COVID-19 and seizing more than a ton of cocaine in the East Pacific.
On May 12th the Active stopped a swift boat 200 miles off the coast of El Salvador and took three suspected smugglers and their $37 million cargo into custody.
One was showing symptoms of COVID-19 and all three tested positive when they were handed over to the Justice Department in San Diego.
