Pelosi is ‘winning fans’ for becoming everything Dems say they hate about Trump, press is eating it up

There’s no question that President Donald Trump’s demeanor does not fit the stereotype of a ‘Washington politician.’
He’s gruff, straightforward, and he’s a counterpuncher. If you verbally assault him, he’ll verbally assault you right back.
That’s not how presidents are supposed to act, we are told. They’re supposed to be more … supine. They have to take what’s thrown at them. They are ‘not permitted’ to have an opinion. And if they’re criticized, well, then the ‘right thing’ to do is just absorb it, smile, and gracefully move on.
Trump doesn’t do those things. That’s not who he is. People who know him well say he’s never been one to let things slide, let criticisms roll off his back, let someone attack him without a response.
