Fair enough. But I find that there are a number of studies that say it doesn't work. I suppose some day we will have a consensus on the effectiveness. But either way it doesn't negate the fact that overuse of antibiotics is not good. It could even put us all more in danger of future outbreaks.
I am in clear agreement with you wrt antibiotic overuse. And I will agree that studies, as they exist, are not in favor of Hydroxychloroquine... But I don't care about studies, which by their nature are by necessity slipshod, especially in this case, and prone to political intention, the latter of which I believe to be in action here.
Rather, when necessity demands, which it does in this case, we have no time (supposedly) for long studies, focus groups, double-blind provisions, and etcetera. What we are left with in the face of this calamity, is more a matter of shooting from the hip by doctors on the ground where subjective observation is the best tool at hand. And I will always favor the guy in the trenches, because he's the guy who knows, KNOWS what works.
When So Korea, adjacent to ground zero, and in the thick of it nearly before anyone else, attributes its remarkable success to these malaria drugs, that cannot be summarily ignored. I don't care how many studies deny it or how subjective it is - When the principle difference between their success and everyone else's failure IS those drugs, it can be safely assumed that
it works.
And to further the point, these studies to which you are adhering, come in close collaboration with the general tenor coming out of the press and the liberal left, that we must wait patiently for the wonder vaccine that is sure to be made evident, lifted up with grateful and shaking hands, and that all we must do is stay in our hovels and await it's glorious revelation, I have to cry bullcrap.
In all of that, I merely have to wait for the other shoe to drop - and its near predictable mandatory application, as the press. WHO, and the CDC are already priming us for - For me to claim the utter predictability of where this is going.
Forgo the eeeeeevil 70 year old, 20 dollar fix in favor of the wondrous and marvelous vaccine, which I must partake of in order to work again. THAT is what the libs are trying to salvage to get back in the driver's seat toward sure socialism.
You GOTTA know which side of that equation I am going to favor, because it is not mandatory, and because resuming life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness begins right now, and is not hinged upon a socialist caricature.
It is ALL bullcrap to me. I am jackin Cs and zinc, I am chuggin fire cider, and my diet leans so far to vinegar already that that stupid bug likely cannot live in my body anyway. Not to mention my arthritic condition leaves my white cells populous, ripped, and on full alert. But to deny what obviously worked would be foolhardy.
